Nvidia announced yesterday that its upcoming DX11 driver that will improve performance on CPU bound titles will be released this Monday, and you can view its complete changelog below. New Nvidia Flameworks Tech Demo Shows The Most Realistic Fire & Smoke Effects

During GTC 2014, Nvidia has showcased tha latest version of Flameworks; a system for generating fire, smoke and explosion effects for games. Flameworks combines a state-of-the-art grid-based fluid simulator with an efficient volume rendering engine, and this latest tech demo is impressive (to say the least). This is by far the best ‘fire and smoke’ tech demo, surpassing even the one for Deep Down that Capcom introduced a while back. According to Nvidia, this is real-time volumetric fire simulation running on GeForce Titan Z and packs 32 million voxels. Enjoy! Nvidia has announced that developers who attend GDC 2014 will get their hands on its collection of technologies and tools for video-games called GameWorks. NVIDIA GameWorks is described as a collection of technologies and tools that include visual and physical simulation software, development kits, debuggers, algorithms, engines, and libraries that can already be found in some of the industry’s top selling games. Here Is Your First Look At Nvidia’s APEX Physics In Unreal Engine 4

YouTube’s member ‘seujose’ has posted some new videos, showing off some Nvidia APEX physics effects that have been implemented in Unreal Engine 4. Although we don’t know whether those APEX effects are GPU or CPU accelerated, we do know that this is the first WIP footage of Nvidia’s APEX effects in Unreal Engine 4. Nvidia Releases Optimal Drivers For Titanfall, GeForce 335.23 WHQL

Titanfall gets comes out tomorrow and Nvidia has released a new set of WHQL drivers for its graphics cards. The latest GeForce drivers are said to provide the best possible gaming experience for Titanfall, and they include updated SLI profiles for Bound By Flame, Watch Dogs, Diablo III and Need For Speed: Rivals. DirectX & OpenGL catching up with Mantle, will offer low-level access to reduce draw overhead

Huge news PC gamers. While Nvidia has not commented yet on supporting Mantle, it appears that both DirectX and OpenGL will be catching up with AMD’s API. According to some slideshows from this year’s GDC, both DirectX and OpenGL will start offering low-level access in order to reduce draw overhead. This obviously translates to performance gains on older CPUs, something that will definitely excite PC gamers. Oxide Games, AMD, and NVIDIA will Present at GDC 2014 the Nitrous Engine and the Future of Real-time Graphics

Oxide Games has announced that it will be partnering with AMD and NVIDIA to examine the future of video games. During GDC 2014, Oxide Games will offer two presentations. The first talk will explain how to get the best use out of AMD’s Mantle API, with explanations of how the Nitrous engine achieves its goals while the second discussion with NVIDIA will explain how modern multi-core CPUs and GPUs open up new ways of designing games for the latest generation of consoles and PCs.
