THIEF – Stories From The City Part #2 Trailer

Square Enix and Eidos-Montreal today released the second trailer in a series of stylized videos that focus on the rich narrative and characters of THIEF’s corrupt and broken city. As the press release reads, each trailer in the series tells a story from the perspective of a different character describing life in the broken, repressed City that is being ravaged by the ruthless Baron Northcrest and the mysterious sickness known as ‘The Gloom’. Thief – Five Minutes Of New Gameplay Footage Unveiled

Our reader ‘Kind Weaverson’ has informed us about a new video containing five minutes of gameplay footage from Thief. Originally posted by GameOne, this new video gives us a glimpse of what EIDOS Montreal has in store for us. Now this will definitely please a lot of – mainly old-school – gamers. In its latest Community Q&A, EIDOS Montreal revealed that there will be no QTEs (quick time events) on the new Thief game. Thief Will Officially Support AMD’s Mantle, TressFX 2.0 Announced

AMD’s Developer Summit will begin shortly, and we’ve already got some interesting news for you. A couple of days ago, Square Enix stated that it would support AMD’s Mantle, though we had no official word on Thief supporting it. Well, we just got a confirmation. During AMD’s event, Nixxes Software’s Jurjen Katsman (yeap, once again Nixxes is handling the PC version of EIDOS Montreal’s title) will speak about Thief, Mantle, 4K gaming and AMD’s TrueAudio. Thief PC Is Part Of AMD’s Gaming Evolved Program, Will Be Ported By Nixxes

Our dear friends over at PCGamesHardware revealed that the PC version of the upcoming Thief game will be handled by Nixxes Software. During AMD’s press conference at Computex in Taipei, the red team announced that Thief PC is part of its Gaming Evolved program, and that the port is handled by Nixxes Software. Tomb Raider PC Gets Yet Another Update With Performance Improvements On Higher Quality Levels

Nixxes seems determined to fix all those issues that plague the PC version of Tomb Raider. That, or they don’t have any other project to work on. But anyway, the studio responsible for the Tomb Raider PC has released a new update that was meant to fix a problem introduced in the previous patch. Since this isn’t cool enough, though, the team has implemented a number of performance improvements that are specifically noticeable at higher quality levels. New Tomb Raider Update Comes With DX11 Improvements & Various Fixes

Nixxes Software has released a new update for the PC version of Tomb Raider that comes with some DX11 improvements, as well as various fixes. According to its release notes, this update features improved sunlight shadow quality, various performance optimizations, adds stereoscopic 3D reticle and increases the save slots from three to 99. This patch will be applied automatically next time you launch the game, and you can view its complete changelog below. Unfortunately, Mountain Village and Shanty Town are still plagued with optimization issues). Nixxes has promised to further polish the game, and will release more patches in the future.
