A lot of us were disappointed with RAGE. id Software dropped the ball with this title as the company experimented with its megatexture tech (and wanted to hit 60fps on current-gen consoles). These clips gives us an idea of what id Software’s classic shooter would look like with today’s standards. Modder ‘Sergeant_Mark_IV’ has finally released the latest version of his amazing brutal mod for id Software’s classic shooter. This new version of Brutal Doom comes with new fatalities, new smoke effects, improved blood decals, much improved melee combat, new animations for a number of enemies, and adds sticky gibs. Now this is too good to simply ignore. Modder ‘adamclare87’ is currently working on a total reconstruction of id Software’s classic FPS, Doom. As its description reads, Doom: One is a new look on the classic first episode of the original DooM. This means that we’re talking about a game full of surprises, new secrets, upgraded visuals that retain the style of what we’ve been used to this whole time, and without any kind of loading screens. Yesterday we informed you about the latest version of Brutal Doom and the fact that it will feature a new combo system. Well, today we are presenting you its official trailer that has just been released (needless to say that it looks f’ing epic). Brutal Doom is perhaps THE best mod for Doom we’ve seen thus far, and according to the modder this new version will be released on August 9th. Brutal Doom – V19 Will Feature A New Combo System

Modder ‘SGtMarkIV’ has released a new video for Brutal Doom, showcasing a new combo system that will be featured in it. As the modder describes, in V19 there will be a simple combo system similar to the system used by the Fighter on Brutal HeXen; pressing the fire, alt fire, and kick buttons in a sequence will unleash powerful combo attacks. Doom 4 Is In Trouble, Being Rebooted For Next-Generation Platforms

Things are not looking good – at all- for Doom 4 and id Software as according to Kotaku, Doom 4 has already been rebooted. As Bethesda’s vice president of marketing and public relations Pete Hines said in a statement to Kotaku, Doom 4’s initial version did not exhibit the quality and excitement that Id and Bethesda intend to deliver and as a result of that, the game has been rebooted. Doom 4 – Pre-Alpha Version Leaked, Steamworks DRM Spotted, Gameplay Footage Unveiled

Doom fans, get ready for a treat. A pre-alpha version of Doom 4 has been leaked to the Internet, showcasing the first level and its tutorial mission. Contrary to the leaked artworks that we presented you a couple of months ago, this pre-alpha version is packed with a game world similar to the first classic parts of the Doom series (and not to RAGE). What’s also interesting is that the game features hordes of enemies, bringing back memories of both Doom 1 and 2.
