It’s been only a few weeks since the release of the third installment of the rebooted Hitman series. Hitman 3 has already recouped its development costs in just a week, making it the most successful game of the trilogy.
When Hitman 2 originally came out, we were really disappointed by its PC version. Contrary to the first Hitman game, Hitman 2 had very limited graphics settings, did not support DX12 and lacked a benchmark tool. Thankfully, and since then, IO Interactive has been constantly improving it, and released yesterday a patch that added support for DirectX 12. IO Interactive has announced that Hitman 2 will be receiving official DX12 support on March 26th. The game’s latest update will add support for Microsoft’s latest API so it will be interesting to see whether the game’s CPU optimization issues will be resolved with it.
