Cliff Bleszinski and PC gamers are in open war for a couple of years. So imagine our surprise when Cliffy B stepped on VGA’s yesterday and announced Fortnite, Epic’s new IP that is clearly inspired by our beloved Minecraft. Square Enix Licenses Unreal Engine 3 For Multiple Games

Epic Games announced today an agreement with Square Enix. Epic Games will be granting Square Enix a license to develop multiple games with Epic’s award-winning Unreal Engine 3 technology. Epic Games Japan, which supports the company’s licensees locally, worked directly with Square Enix on the new license. And here comes the big question; what happened to the next-generation engine that Square Enix was working on? And why won’t the giant Japanese company use the in-house engine for their games? Rumor Alert: Is Gears of War 3 coming to the PC?

Now here is something really interesting. We do know that Cliffy B hates our beloved platform and we do know that Microsoft wants to push PC gaming – well, according to their latest statements. Bricks of War is an outstanding Lego Gears of War Stop-Motion Animation

Okay, this is simply awesome. Bricks of War is a LEGO stop-motion animation that is based on the Gears of War franchise. And damn does it look sexy. This movies is created by Kooberz Studios, the brain-child of Alex Kobbs who is a talented young man that has obviously a passion about LEGOs and games. Unreal Engine is still the best according to Epic’s CEO

Well, it was to be expected. After all these years, the fight between Crytek and Epic Games is still strong. And according to Mark Rein, Epic Games’ CEO, the Unreal Engine is still the best engine ever. During his latest interview with EDGE, Mark laughed and prompted to skip the question about whether he’s getting fed up with being asked about Crytek’s CryEngine. Gorgeous Unreal Engine 3 Foliage Screenshot

Senior public relations manager for Epic Games, Dana Cowley, shared on her Tweeter a new screenshot that showcases Unreal 3 Engine’s new foliage system. And we have to say that it looks great. The lighting system and TOD also look better from everything we’ve ever seen so far from this engine, although we’d wish that Cowley would release a higher resolution screenshot of it.
