Electronic Arts announced today that Real Racing 3 is now available for the iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Google Play and Amazon Appstore. Developed by the EA Firemonkeys studio, the game delivers the most exhilarating handheld racing experience and features 46 licensed vehicles covering three classes, a 22 car grid across real world tracks, eight varied event types and over 900 events. Crytek has released a new version of its free CryEngine 3 SDK, CryEngine 3.4.5. This new version comes with support for increased vegetation sprite texture resolution, tweaked SCAR muzzleflash light to be more orange, added muzzleflash light to single firemode and various fixes (for example fixes for out of memory crash and random snow appearance in levels). Crytek has detailed the first update for Crysis 3, as well as a Data Patch for the game’s multiplayer mode. The first update is currently available for the PC version, and will be released shortly for both X360 and PS3. The Data Patch B, on the other hand, is available on all platforms right now. According to its changelog, this update comes with particle optimisation and significant optimisation to Medium detail settings. Our dear readers, unfortunately our GTX 690 has not arrived yet, meaning that our Performance Analysis for Crysis 3 will get slightly delayed. As you may have heard, though, the first level of Crysis 3 seems to be behaving really strange, even on high-end PC systems. Ironically, it appears that the game suffers from some optimization issues, as modder MaLDo has discovered that the ropes physics are causing big performance hits for no apparent reason. Electronic Arts and Crytek have released a launch trailer for Crysis 3. According to its description, Crysis 3 has an immersive single player campaign taking place in the Urban Jungle of NYC and a well-developed multiplayer featuring 8 different game modes and 12 unique maps. BioWare announced two new downloadable content packs for Mass Effect 3; the single-player pack Mass Effect 3: Citadel and the multiplayer content Mass Effect 3: Reckoning. On February 26, Mass Effect 3: Reckoning will be free to download (until February 26, 2014), giving fans of the popular multiplayer mode in Mass Effect 3 access to new characters, weapons and upgrades. On March 5, Mass Effect 3: Citadel will be the last single player DLC pack for Mass Effect 3, giving fans one final, sentimental journey with Commander Shepard and their squad. Well, we all know that Sony is holding a meeting tomorrow, in which the Japanese company might reveal Playstation 4. Electronic Arts today announced that popular PC digital download titles from Ubisoft including Assassin’s Creed III, Far Cry 3 and Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction are coming to Origin. Ubisoft titles are available for purchase and download to PC gamers on Origin starting today in North America, with Europe and Asia availability beginning on February 22.
