First PC mods released for Demon’s Souls; graphics, cheats, gameplay and more
While Demon’s Souls has not been officially released on the PC, it appears that the first PC mods for it have surfaced online. To use these mods, you’ll need RPCS3 and a copy of the PS3 version of Demon’s Souls. In other words, these mods only work on the PC. So yeah, similarly to some Nintendo Wii/Gamecube games, PC gamers can now play modded versions of Demon’s Souls via its Playstation 3 emulator. Demon’s Souls is a game that a lot of PC gamers would love to play. However, and contrary to the Dark Souls series, Demon’s Souls never came on the PC. Still, PC gamers well able to play this title via RPCS3 and get a taste of it. The development team of RPCS3 has announced that a new high resolution rendering mode will be added to this PS3 emulator in the coming weeks. Here is Demon’s Souls running at almost full speed on the Playstation 3 emulator, RPCS3
YouTube’s member ‘Unreal’ has shared a video, showing Demon’s Souls running on RPCS3. And from the looks of it, this title will be fully playable in a matter of months. As we can see in this video, the game runs at almost full speed on an Intel i7 6600K (clocked at 4.5Ghz) with an NVIDIA GTX970. We don’t know whether there are scenes in which the emulator under-performs, however we are almost certain that the RPCS3 team will be able to make the game run smoothly in the next versions of the emulator.
