Dead Island PC Performance Analysis

Dead Island has already met a huge success – even though it was released a few weeks ago – as Techland has managed to offer a great mix between Far Cry and Dead Rising. It is a fun game that needs to be played, even if you don’t funky all those zombie games out there. We were really curious to see how the game would perform as it shares the same engine with CoJ: The Cartel. Would it suffer from all those issues? Well, time to find out how the PC version performs with a modern-day PC. Continue reading Dead Island PC Performance Analysis

Dead Island Helper: Version 1.4 Is Out Now; A tool that promises to fix Techland’s broken game

We’ve seen it in the past. Publishers releasing a broken game and developers trying to fix its issues unsuccessfully. Who can forget Vampire: Bloodlines and what happened when Troika was shut down? All hell broke loose but… there is a big BUT. The PC Gaming Community stood up saying proudly “Hell no, we are PC gamers. We’re gonna fix this broken game” and as a result of that, we got lots of unofficial patches for it. Fast forward a couple of years and the same thing might happen with Dead Island. Dead Island Microstuttering Can Be Caused By Keyboard; Temporary Fix

So Techland has finally released the ‘real’ version of Dead Island on Steam but there are some of us that are experiencing some annoying microstuttering. Before jumping to early conclusions, this microstuttering takes effect whenever we are moving our characters so it has nothing to do with the graphics card or its drivers. The weird thing though is that this microstuttering is eliminated the moment we connect and try the game with a gamepad. The company didn’t state anything else so we can only assume that players will have to download the entire game from the start. Dead Island PC Developer Build released on Steam instead of the Final version

Okay guys, this is a major screw up. Although PC gamers all over the world have been looking forward to the release of Dead Island, it looks like Techland and Deep Silver have made a major mistake with the game’s Steam version. If you had tried the Steam version of Dead Island, you would most probably have encountered a number of bugs and issues. For example, players could no-clip by pressing a certain key. Well, that’s because the version that was released was not the final one but a developer’s build. Continue reading Dead Island PC Developer Build released on Steam instead of the Final version
