Risen 2 – The Making of, Episode 2

Deep Silver and Piranha Bytes today released the second episode of the six part making-of series that will become available over the course of the next months. This time, the developers from Piranha Bytes talk about the different factions in Risen 2: Dark Waters, like the Inquisition and what the disappearance of magic from the world has meant for them, the Natives in their natural habitat, the jungle, and their suppression as slaves in this world, the Pirates who play a central role in the story of Risen 2, and finally, the Gnomes and their enhanced role in Risen 2. Iron Front – Liberation 1944 – New info, screenshots and artworks released; coming exclusively to the PC in 2012

Deep Silver today revealed artwork and information about two aircrafts in the upcoming tactical shooter Iron Front – Liberation 1944. The Junkers Ju-87 Stuka was one of the most dreaded bombers of World War II. The aircraft, which is known for the ability to precisely bombard its targets, was mainly used at the beginning of the war and became a symbol for the Blitzkrieg. The Petljakow Pe-2 is a Soviet Bomber, similar to the Ju-87 Stuka, it was used to support ground troops. It was produced in over 20 different versions. At the same time, Deep Silver released five new screenshots that show Soviet and German troops as well as aircrafts and tanks. Risen 2: Dark Waters is coming to the PC on April 24th

Deep Silver and Piranha Bytes today announced the official release date for the epic pirate RPG Risen 2: Dark Waters as April 24th, 2012 for USA and Canada and April 27th, 2012 for countries in Europe. Both companies also revealed the final packshot of the game showing the emblematic pirate Jolly Roger (skull and crossbones) – but with a Risen 2 twist. X3: Albion Prelude coming to Steam on December 15th; Deep Silver to publish the retail version

Egosoft announced today a December 15th release of PC and Mac versions of X3: Albion Prelude, a new challenge in the X3 series, building up toward the launch of the all-new X Rebirth coming in 2012. X3: Albion Prelude plays in a time between the old and the new X Universe. It shows a universe in flux, and prepares players for things to come. Dead Island – Bloodbath DLC is now available on the PC

Great news for zombie fans as Dead Island’s ‘Bloodbath DLC’ has just been released on Steam. The DLC is priced at 9.99 euros and features four 4 deadly and hazardous arenas, endless waves of zombies, supports both SP and co-op MP and leaderboard to challenge your friends. Now I don’t like this whole ‘DLC idea’, but I’m pretty sure that those who want more ‘zombie-ness’ will appreciate it. So go ahead and get it. Risen 2: Dark Waters – The Making Of Risen 2: Episode 1

Deep Silver and Piranha Bytes released the first episode of the ‘making of’ video series for Risen 2: Dark Waters. In this episode, the developers Piranha Bytes lead us on the path of development of a believable fantasy world. Risen 2 looks definitely better than its predecessor, although we can’t say that we are utterly impressed with its visuals. But then again, who cares as both the Gothic series – prior Gothic 4 – and the first Risen were all about their gameplay. And we are pretty sure that Piranha Bytes will deliver once again. Dead Island – Latest Update Released; Introduces Crashes To Desktop

Techland had done it again. It’s hilarious, but we can’t help laughing with the crashes that were introduced by the latest patch of Dead Island. These are the same crashes that occuered to some gamers with the previous one, so obviously we’d expect it to be fixed. But no, PC gamers will have to show their all-mighty skills and edit a configuration file in order to enjoy the game. Ah, the beauty of PC gaming. Dead Island – Update 1.2.1 Released

Attention zombie fans as a new patch for Dead Island has just been rolled out. This new update is 79MB in size and will be auto-downloaded next time you start the Steam client. Deep Silver and Steam didn’t release any changelog for this patch, though we can confirm that this patch will fix your launch issues that were introduced with the previous patch. Deep Silver to publish World of Tanks’ retail version

Deep Silver announced today the signing of a publishing agreement with Wargaming.net about a retail version of World of Tanks. Deep Silver will get the exclusive right to publish and distribute the retail version of World of Tanks in the following territories: UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Nordic countries, Benelux, Spain, Portugal, Greece and France.
