Call of Duty Ghosts v2
Activision and Infinity Ward announced today that the Call of Duty: Ghosts’ multiplayer will be unveiled on August 14th at 10:30am PDT. Activision did not hint at what we’ll be seeing, however it is almost a given that the MP footage will be based on the X360 version of the game. Call of Duty: Ghosts will feature new dynamic map events, so hopefully Infinity Ward will give us a taste of what’s to come.  Continue reading Call of Duty: Ghosts – Multiplayer To Be Unveiled On August 14th

Call of Duty: Ghosts – Tech Demo Trailer

Call of Duty Ghosts v2
Activision and Infinity Ward have released a new tech trailer for Call of Duty: Ghosts, showcasing the graphical effects that will be supported in this next-gen version of this popular franchise. Call of Duty: Ghosts will support displacement mapping, SubD, sun-shafts, HDR, volumetric lighting, and high-resolution textures. To be honest though, apart from the SubD technique, these techniques have been used in other current-gen titles such as Crysis 3 and Metro: Last Light. Therefore, we are really puzzled here; does Activision believe that this is what gamers expect from a true next-gen title? You can view the tech trailer below. Call of Duty: Ghosts – Early Access Single Player Gameplay Footage

Call of Duty Ghosts
Geoff Keighley and Activision held an Early Access event today in which they showcased the SP mode of Call of Duty: Ghosts. Call of Duty: Ghosts was running on next-gen hardware (though Activision did not reveal the platform that was used) and seems to be a true COD game. In other words, it’s scripted to death. The dog in Ghosts will be called Riley and players will be able to control it. And simply ‘lol’ at the ending sequence where the dog jumps in a window, makes a lot of noise and then out of nowhere 5 trained guys with weapons somehow break down a wooden door so it explodes. I mean, seriously now? None of them thought of shooting the dog? Come oooooooooon. Anyway, you can view the streamed footage below, as well as some new screenshots that were recently released! Activision Reshapes Call of Duty’s Official Website With A Teaser Mosaic

Call of Duty Ghosts
Activision has just launched a teaser page on the official website for Call of Duty. Although the source code of this new page does not reveal much, we’re pretty sure that this page is meant for the rumored reveal of the next Call of Duty title. In short, this new page asks viewers whether they want to get added on it. From the looks of it, the profile pics of those who are being added form some letters or an image (or an icon). And if we are lucky enough, this hidden message will be unveiled sooner than later. Continue reading Activision Reshapes Call of Duty’s Official Website With A Teaser Mosaic

Online Retailer Tesco Claims That Call of Duty: Ghosts Uses A New Game Engine

Call of Duty Ghosts
Online retailer Tesco may have spilled the beans on Activision’s upcoming Call of Duty title. According to the game’s description on the retailer’s website – a page that is no longer unavailable – Call of Duty: Ghosts uses a new game engine. Exciting stuff, right? However, things may not be as good as you’d hoped. Why you ask? But because we’re pretty sure that this ‘new’ engine is simply an evolution of the current engine that is being used in the previous COD titles and nothing more.
