Lighting Artist ‘Stayd‘ has shared a new set of screenshots for his upcoming Lighting Overhaul Mod for Dark Souls 2. This mod promises to overhaul the game’s lighting system, and looks absolutely incredible.
Alongside the new lighting system, Stayd may also enhance the game’s geometry, shadows, texture mapping, prop and clutter placement. Additionally, the modder aims to bring a number of gameplay tweaks and improvements.
Now the bad news is that this mod is nowhere close to completion yet. Moreover, there isn’t currently any ETA on when it will come out. Thus, you should not hold your breath as it may take even a year until you get your hands on it.
Stayd has done an incredible job and the following screenshots look amazing. So yeah, even though it will be a while until we can play Dark Souls 2 with this mod, it will certainly be worth the wait.
