So here we are today with another bunch of CryEngine 3 shots and bloody hell, Wenda’s map looks phenomenal. Wenda is experimenting with CryEngine 3’s terrain capabilities and his map is among the best we’ve ever seen. Contrary to other modders, Wenda nailed the atmosphere and the TOD settings. Dead Island – Impressive short film that stays true to the game

Well, it was to be expected. Dead Island met a huge success and deep inside us, we already knew that someone would try and make a real-life short film, based on it. So, here is the first one guys. Although the film’s budget is limited, the film stayed true to the game’s spirit and atmosphere and every gameplay mechanic has been ported perfectly. Renegade Ops coming to PC on October

Okay, we already knew that Renegade Ops PC would be delayed. Avalanche Studios never stated a specific date for the game’s PC version and Steam has just informed us that the game will be released sometime next month. Avalanche Studios still hasn’t provided us with a specific date so the game could come out at the end of October, which basically translates to a monthly delay. Seriously now, I can’t be the only one who adores those 16bit Snes action RPG’s. Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy, Secret of Mana, Breath of Fire, Secret of Evermore… just let me make a confession; I love them. Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad – New Update Released

Tripwire released yesterday a new update for their FPS multiplayer military sim game, Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad. This latest update offers significantly improved VOIP system and client performance optimizations and will be auto-downloaded next time you start the Steam client. It’s great that Tripwire is fixing this bug-fest, so hopefully we’ll see more patches with even more performance optimizations. You can view the entire changelog after the jump. Warhammer 40K: Space Marine PC Patch Released

THQ released the first patch for their third person action game that is based on Warhammer’s universe, Warhammer 40K: Space Marine. According to the company, this patch is aimed at addressing some of the issues that the community has reported since the game’s launch. THQ and Relic are also working towards another patch to tackle more of the issues which will be released later. Deus Ex: Human Revolution – New Update Released

Square Enix released yesterday a new update for their acclaimed first person action adventure RPG, Deus Ex: Human Revolution. This update will be auto-downloaded next time you start the Steam client and – among other things – fixes crashes when examining quest items and a specific issue that caused performance degradation for some DX9 players in the 1.2.630 patch. F1 2011 PC Performance Analysis

Codemasters has just released the latest version of their F1 game. One of our biggest complains about F1’s previous version was the fact that it wasn’t optimized at all on the PC. Contrary to Grid or Colin McRae series, F1 2010 didn’t perform as we’d expect and was CPU bound. We were expecting Codies to optimize the Ego engine, but it seems that everything is exactly the same as with last year’s offering; same performance issues and the game remains CPU heavy.
