I tell you guys, it’s all about lighting and textures. Project CARS had amazing car models with some of the best racing textures we’ve ever seen and the only thing that it was lacking was a better lighting system. As we’ve said a couple of days ago, the latest build features a new system and in order to showcase how close to real photos this game can look like, Slightly Mad Studios’ member ‘plm5’ captured some jaw dropping screenshots. This is as close to photorealism as we can get, so go ahead and drool all over them. Especially that Asano shot is… wow (although you can spot some flaws if you concentrate on the grass). Just, amazing! Continue reading Photorealistic Project CARS Screenshots→

It’s been a while, right? Well, MaLDo is back and is preparing a new version for his mind-blowing Crysis 2 Texture Pack. MaLDo is currently working on a lot of little issues that plague Crytek’s FPS. The modder will add POM to some surfaces, will fix clipping issues, will fix some floating shadows and decals, and will add shadows to some specific places. Moreover, MaLDo will include new texture for fallen leaves geometry, for parking poster in Alien Vessel, for trash in Bryant Park, for marble and for a stone wall. In addition, MaLDo has released some old and new comparison shots that can be viewed below (on the left we have the vanilla and on the right the modded). Mike Relm has created a weird – and at the same time interesting – rap/dubstep/electronic video remix for Mass Effect 3. Now I’m not a fan of this music genre but it’s cool to see the game’s voices in the actual song. The video cut is also pretty good. Truth be told, this video will leave you with a <<WTF>> expression in your face. Still, this is something that you don’t see everyday, so go ahead and watch it. Who knows, you might actually like it!
