Transformers: Fall of Cybertron – PC Performance Analysis

When High Moon Games announced that they were not working on a PC version of its latest Transformers game, a lot of gamers got disappointed. You see, although Transformers: War for Cybertron was not as polished as we’d hoped to, it was still better than its console counterpart. Yes, there was a horrible 30fps lock – that was thankfully removed by modders – and there weren’t a lot of graphical options, but thanks to the Unreal Engine 3, the game performed great on the PC and there wasn’t any annoying mouse acceleration effect. And in a shocking turn of events, Activision stepped in and decided to let Mercenary Games handle the PC port of it and as a result of that, the PC version of Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is the definitive. Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Edition PC – 60FPS Unlocker Released – Alpha Version

We seriously don’t know whether we should be happy that there are dedicated modders, willing to go the extra mile and fix From Software’s action RPG, or not. But this is a good thing, so let’s be positive on that, shall we? Following Durante’s fix for the game’s resolution, modder ‘Nwks’ has released a 60fps mod for Dark Souls PC. As its title suggests, this mod unlocks the game’s framerate and is currently in alpha phase. Continue reading Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Edition PC – 60FPS Unlocker Released – Alpha Version

Beyond Good & Evil 2 could be brought back as a digital-only title

Ah, Beyond Good & Evil – a great game that did not meet the appropriate commercial success. Even though gamers loved Ubisoft’s new IP, the game ultimately met Shiny’s Giants: Citizen Kabuto and Sacrifice fate and didn’t sell well, despite the positive reviews it got. And although Ubisoft stated – back in 2011 – that Beyond Good & Evil 2 was under development, apart from some leaked screenshots and a video, we have not gotten any new information about its status – until now. Fan-Made Skyrim Concept Arts Showcase What A Next-Generation Elder Scrolls Game Could Look Like

Our weekly Skyrim gallery is dedicated to Skyrimnexus member ‘DEZZZ.’ DEZZZ has created some of the best Skyrim concept arts we’ve ever seen, and we are pretty sure that a next-generation Elder Scrolls game could look similar to these following images. That’s a stretch – to be honest – but imagine when we have games looking this good. Let’s not forget that Skyrim can look gorgeous with some custom ENBSeries mods, so – being optimistic here – there is a high chance to get this kind of visuals in our games sooner than expected. Enjoy! Continue reading Fan-Made Skyrim Concept Arts Showcase What A Next-Generation Elder Scrolls Game Could Look Like

This is what Borderlands was originally meant to look like; art style inspired by short film ‘Codehunters’

Gearbox’s Borderlands is perhaps one of the best cartoon-ish games. Borderlands uses a different technique for its cartoon-ish like visuals than cel-shading, but the final result is pretty close to it in our opinion. Needless to say that we don’t think there is something wrong calling Borderlands a cel-shaded game (as that term is used metaphorically to describe all cartoon-ish games with outlines), but that’s just us. Did you know, however, that the game had – originally – a more realistic look to it? Well, time to witness some of the early screenshots (as well as a target trailer) of it before it got ‘cel-ified.’ Continue reading This is what Borderlands was originally meant to look like; art style inspired by short film ‘Codehunters’
