Project Enternity hits half of its Kickstarter goal in only six hours [UPDATE]

Now this is bloody amazing. Obsidian’s Project Eternity has managed to surpass half of its Kickstarter goal in only six hours. Project Eternity’s goal is 1.1 million dollars and the amount that has been pledged is currently around 650K dollars. It’s safe to say that the game will be funded, and we’re pretty sure that this will happen this weekend.
Project Eternity aims to recapture the magic, imagination, depth, and nostalgia of classic RPGs.
Project Eternity will take the central hero, memorable companions and the epic exploration of Baldur’s Gate, add in the fun, intense combat and dungeon diving of Icewind Dale, and tie it all together with the emotional writing and mature thematic exploration of Planescape: Torment.
In other words, this is what PC gamers have been waiting for – a true western RPG.
Stay tuned for more!
UPDATE:
Great news for RPG fans as the game has been funded in less than two days. There are already 28.222 backers and there are still 31 days left to go. Well done PC gamers!
