SEGA and Double Fine Productions announced the launch date and price for the upcoming adventure game, The Cave. Created by legendary game designer Ron Gilbert, The Cave will be available on January 22nd in North America and on the 23rd January in Europe for the PlayStation Network for $14.99/ €12.99/£9.99/ AUD$19.95. On January 23rd, it will be available on Xbox LIVE Arcade for X360 for 1200 MSP and Steam for $14.99/ €12.99/£9.99/ AUD$19.95 . Namco Bandai announced today that Ace Combat Assault Horizon: Enhanced Edition will hit PC on January 25th and in order to celebrate it, the publisher has released a new set of PC screenshots from it. Our reader Sid Spyker has informed us about the PC requirements of Bioshock: Infinite, that were revealed on Irrational Games’ blog. According to the developers, the PC version won’t suffer from any kind of artificial mouse smoothing, and PC gamers will be able to control sensitivity or toggle mouse acceleration in the options screen. In December, we shared with you a teaser trailer for Earth Special Forces, a DBZ mod for Half Life that has been under development for quite sometime. As promised, the team behind it has released a full length video that literally puts to shame most commercial DBZ games. The impressive thing here is also the fact that we’re talking about a mod for a relatively old game, yet still looks gorgeous. SolarFall Games today announced that its hack n slash CryEngine 3 action RPG, Umbra, will support Kythera, a new AI platform. According to the development team, everything in Umbra will be dynamic, including the AI. Characters can react to blocked routes if the player destroys a bridge or doorway, as well as finding new ways across moving objects or around cleared debris. YouTube’s member ‘pipocaVFX’ has recreated the Bricks Bonus Stage from Street Fighter II Turbo. Ironically, this video looks so good (and so close to the real deal) that could easily pass as a mod for Street Fighter 4. Naturally, this perspective might make you dizzy as that’s the biggest problem of FFPP (Fighting First Person Perspective) games that feature a complex set of moves.
