5 Lives Studios has released a new, technology, video for its upcoming strategy title, Satellite Reign, in which the company showcased the screen space raytraced reflections that will be utilized in it. 5 Lives Studios used an Intel i5 2500 with a GTX 560Ti and ran this tech demo at 1635×920 with 40FPS (in Editor mode which is said to be slower than the actual game). GOG.com and Interceptor Entertainment have released a video Q&A, in which Frederik Schreiber answers GOG.com users’ questions about Rise of the Triad. Rise of the Triad promises to keep the map layout of the old-school shooters, and to be as fun as its original version. Interceptor wanted to pay tribute to the old-school 90s FPS titles, and Rise of the Triad promises to be gory, fast, and fun. The game is scheduled for a July 31st release, exclusively on the PC. Full Control today announced that digital download service Steam is now accepting pre-orders for Space Hulk, its highly anticipated 3D digital turn based strategy game based on the best-selling board game and set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Our reader Cristian Fabian Munoz Isla shared with us some new info and videos from his upcoming Mortal Kombat II mod for id Software’s classic FPS, Doom. According to Cristian, MKII for DooM will feature a tag team mode in which 4 players can duke it out in a 2v2 battle (or only 2 players or 3, on the case for 3 players, 1 player control the 2 chars, and the rest only 1). It’s been a while since our last look on Overgrowth, don’t you think? Wolfire Games has released a new video, showcasing the changes that have been made to the game’s latest alpha build. This new version of Overgrowth features – among other things – two new rabbit models, a new sword throw animation, improved passive blocking during sword fights and updated run and walk animations.
