Codemasters has released a new hotlap video for F1 2013, featuring Gerhard Berger in the 1988 Ferrari F1-87/88C at Circuito De Jerez. F1 2013 promises to give Formula 1 fans the chance to compete against legendary drivers in cars from different eras of Formula One with a range of classic content from the 1980s. F1 Classics, introduced by legendary broadcaster Murray Walker, allows players to race iconic 1980s cars from Williams, Lotus and Ferrari against drivers including Mario Andretti, Nigel Mansell, Emerson Fittipaldi and Gerhard Berger, with more to be announced, on classic circuits Brands Hatch and Jerez. The Hangar Module is a standalone release that reveals where players will store their ships and collected items. Currently, there are three types of hangars. Mastertronic and Abstraction Games announced that The Chaos Engine, the classic Amiga game originally developed by legendary outfit The Bitmap Brothers is now available on PC, Linux and Mac! The early ‘90s top-down shooter has been lovingly restored by Abstraction Games, the team who recently brought Hotline Miami to the PS3 and Vita, in close consultation with Mike Montgomery, one of the founding members of The Bitmap Brothers. Abstraction Games have been entrusted with rebuilding The Bitmap Brothers’ game from the ground up in its original form, as well as throwing in an alternative mode with a few extra enhancements. Martin Escageda, a Multimedia Producer and Cosplayer from Mexico, has informed us about the second live action short film based on the upcoming fighting game, Yatagarasu: Attack on Cataclysm. Contrary to the first short film, this one simulates completely two rounds of a fight and feels similar to most fan-made films that were released for Mortal Kombat. The fighting itself is not up to what we were hoping, neither is the acting. And in case you’re wondering, no; this short film cannot come close to the ones for Street Fighter or Street Fighter x Tekken (though the budget and the crew for those shorts were way higher than those for Martin’s Yatagarasu film).
