Independent game developer Nine Dots Studio released today a preview build of their game, GoD factory Wingmen, the 4vs4 space combat MOBA, soon to be available on PC, Mac and Linux platforms. The competitive game allows players build their ships part by part and fight massive online battles. Wargaming today announced that its highly anticipated free-to-play flight combat MMO World of Warplanes has officially gone into open beta testing, inviting all virtual pilots to climb into the cockpits of some of the most iconic warbirds from the 1930s to the early 1950s. Open beta goes live today in Russia and North America, and July 4th in Europe. In total, the closed beta saw more than 2.7 million applications from 194 different countries. The SC Team has released a new version of its co-op mod for Valve’s classic first-person shooter title, Half Life. As its description suggests, this mod lets players fight computer-controlled monsters through the original Half-Life storyline or hundreds of available co-operative scenarios. According to the team, this open beta release is a crucial part of the development cycle. The latest Top 10 PC charts have been revealed and as we can see, Company of Heroes 2 and The Sims 3: Island Paradise are the best selling titles on Steam’s digital and UK’s retail PC charts. Surprisingly enough, Football Manager 2013 has lost its PC retail crown to the new The Sims 3 expansion, and is now spotted in the third place as Relic’s strategy title, Company of Heroes 2, has also managed to surpass it. Apart from those changes, though, UK’s PC Retail Charts are dominated by a lot of The Sims 3 titles. Good news obviously for Maxis and EA.
