Prey HiDef V2.0 HD Remaster available for download

In December 2021, modder ‘y2keeth’ released an HD overhaul mod for the first Prey game. And earlier today, the modder released a brand new version of this unofficial HD remaster for this classic FPS game.

Prey HiDef attempts to improve the graphics of the game by improving its textures and 3D models, as well as adding full shadows map files.

While y2keeth has not provided any changelog, we can assume that this latest version improves more textures (and perhaps additional 3D models). Thus, if you plan to replay this game, we suggest downloading the mod from here. Version 2.0 is 6.47GB in size, whereas its previous version was only 2.85GB.

Lastly, you can find below some screenshots and a gameplay video. These screenshots should give you a better idea of what you can expect from the mod.

Speaking of older games, we also suggest downloading this HD Texture Pack for F.E.A.R. There are also HD Project Mods for Dino Crisis, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, and Call of Duty. You can also find similar HD mods for Thief Gold, Thief II & Thief 2X, Star Wars: KOTOR, KOTOR 2, Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces IIGrand Theft Auto Vice City, MorrowindTurok 2HexenFinal Fantasy 9Max PayneFinal Fantasy 7Resident Evil HD RemasterResident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3.
