SEGA has released a new set of screenshots for Aliens: Colonial Marines. In Aliens: Colonial Marines, players are part of a United States Colonial Marine squad and must prepare to face an alien assault more intense and horrific than ever before. Dean ‘Rocket’ Hall has unveiled the first screenshots from the standalone version of DayZ. As Dead notes, these are work-in-progress shots with only basic texture work and initial lighting passes. In other words, these are as early as they can possibly can. The standalone version of DayZ is expected around December and will follow Minecraft’s model (releasing as an alpha for early addopters and moving progressively towards the beta and final stages). Slightly Mad Studios has unveiled a new set of Community screenshots for its upcoming racer, Project CARS, and as always, pCars looks F’ing stunning. Electronic Arts and Maxis have released some new screenshots for SimCity that showcase the in-game disasters that will be featured. Players can expect to see earthquakes, meteor showers, tornadoes and UFO invasions. SimCity will take advantage of Maxis’ new game engine – called GlassBox Engine – and promises to be friendy to mods, to utilize traditional zone placement and to feature curvy roads.
