Shadow of the Tomb Raider hotfix fixes crashes on RTX GPUs, visual corruption & flickering particles

EIDOS Montreal and Nixxes have released a hotfix for Shadow of the Tomb Raider’s patch 4. According to the release notes, this hotfix addresses the crashes when using the NVIDIA GeForce RTX2080 or RTX2080Ti GPUs with specific driver and OS versions. These instant crashes really frustrated us and were present only when DX12 was enabled, so it’s at least great that Nixxes has addressed them so soon. Call of Duty Black Ops 4 update 1.03 released, full patch release notes unveiled

Treyarch and Beenox have released a new patch for Call of Duty Black Ops 4. According to the release notes, this patch will update your game’s version to 1.03 and makes Leaderboards available for Multiplayer, Blackout, and Zombies, addresses an issue where player-created paintjobs may appear corrupted or stretched when placed on weapons and brings general stability improvements across Multiplayer, Blackout, and Zombies. New Windows 10 Spectre fixes will reduce performance impact to low single-digit percentages

Good news: the October 2018 Update for Windows 10 features the highly anticipated fixes for Spectre and Meltdown. Bad news: these fixes can have a significant performance it, with some websites reporting a 20-30% hit. Half Dead 2 gets a real-time ray tracing tech demo that you can download right, works on older GPUs

Room710Games has released a real-time ray tracing tech demo for its upcoming game, Half Dead 2. The team is currently using ray tracing for the game’s reflections, meaning that you can see clean and correct reflections of environment and moving objects, and even your own face reflections in the floor.
