inXile entertainment launches Wasteland 2 Kickstarter, hits its $900K mark in just two days

Following Double Fine’s example, inXile Entertainment has started a kickstarter for a sequel to Wasteland. Wasteland 2 will the direct sequel to the first ever post-apocalyptic computer RPG. The project will be headed by Brian Fago who was an Executive Produced for both Wasteland and Fallout. In order to become a reality, the team wanted to hit $900K bucks until April 17th. Well, they managed to hit – and surpass – that mark in just two days, meaning that Wasteland 2 will become a reality. SEGA, Rebellion, Kalypso Media and Team 17 join Origin

Electronic Arts announced today that SEGA will bring its most popular PC game titles to Origin, EA’s direct-to-consumer gaming platform. SEGA’s Total War Shogun 2: Fall of the Samurai is now available for pre-order to PC gamers on Origin. In addition to SEGA, other new publishers joining Origin today include Team 17 Software Limited, Rebellion, Kalypso Media Digital and more, bringing the number of game publishers and developers on Origin to 35 partners. Skyrim Texture Optimizer Released; lowers your vRAM usage when HD Texture Packs are enabled

Skyrim has seen a lot of HD texture packs these past months and if you tried to enable some of them simultaneously, you would definitely notice your GPU hitting its vRAM limits. Thankfully, modder ‘AdPipino’ released a great tool called Textures Optimizer. Practically this program does not affect the quality of textures (1% if the original is in TGA / BMP). Texture Optimizer basically compresses (via lossless methods) the textures to a format that takes up less space in memory to avoid slow loading. New DOTA 2 Update comes with new Gameplay, UI, Visuals and Bots fixes/improvements

Valve has released a new beta update for DOTA 2. Among other things, this update adds Shadow Demon, fixes Dust of Appearance not affecting magic immune heroes and adjust the Venomancer injured animation. Moreover, this update features various gameplay, UI, visuals, audio, and bots fixes/improvements. As usual, the patch will be auto-downloaded next time you start the Steam client and you can view its entire changelog after the jump. The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition – New Screenshots from the game’s DLC portion

The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition is slated for an April 17th release and will include up to 4 hours of extra quests, new locations and characters. This new content will be available free of charge for all PC owners of The Witcher 2 and our reader ‘JnX’ has mailed us some new screenshots from it. Baldur’s Gate website updated, something will be announced tomorrow

Baldur’s Gate fans, get ready for a treat as the new BG website has been updated and we got a counter that completes at 12 p.m. PST tomorrow. Although the site is down at the moment, we got a look at its source code that had a new quote. A couple of days ago, we informed you about the latest updates for this Baldur’s Gate game. Atari has given the green light to this project and Trent Oster had revealed that an announcement would be made in the following days.
