Alan Wake PC Patch will hit Steam next week, major fixes for SLI and 3D Vision

Great news for Nvidia users, as Remedy has almost finished the work on their latest update for the PC version of Alan Wake. According to the developers, the third update of Alan Wake PC will come with SLI support and major fixes for Nvidia’s 3D Vision. Unfortunately, the update will not hit Steam this weekend, however there might be a beta version of it later today or tomorrow. Of Orcs and Men – Six New Screenshots

Man, it seems that Cyanide is really hard at work with a lot of projects. The company has released six new, ingame screenshots for their upcoming RPG, Of Orcs and Men. Of Orcs and Men is jointly realized by Cyanide (Concept and Production) and Spiders (Realization and Development) and will be available on current generation consoles and PC in Q2 2012. Grim Dawn, an action RPG from ex-Titan Quest developers gets Pre-Alpha Footage

Forget everything you’re doing. Crate Entertainment has released a new, pre-alpha footage for their upcoming action RPG, Grim Dawn. In case you were unaware of, Crate Entertainment is formed by ex-employees of Iron Lore Entertainment, the studio that was behind Titan Quest. Risen 2: Dark Waters – The Making Of, Episode 4 – The Music

Deep Silver and Piranha Bytes today released the fourth episode of the six part making-of series that will become available over the course of the next months until the release. The developers from Piranha Bytes this time describe what kind of music works best for games and how a soundtrack for a game gets created even though the game itself is too early to be used as an inspiration, how the different music tracks get placed in the different areas of a game world and how music can convey different moods and emotions in a game. New details for Baldur’s Gate Enhanced Edition; 2D graphics, mod friendly, incoming first screenshots

As we told you a couple of hours ago, Baldur’s Gate 1 & 2 will get an Enhanced Edition that will be released this Summer. Naturally, PC fans of those two games had a lot of questions and Trent Oster decided to answer most of them. So, we know for a fact now that this will come to the PC. Contrary to the previous iOS/Android rumors, there is currently only the PC version confirmed that will be unleashed this Summer. Moreover, the Enhanced Editions will be 2D games and not 3D remakes. Beamdog will use our GPUs mainly for acceleration purposes, but hope that they’ll implement some good tricks to slightly improve the graphics. Test Drive: Ferrari Racing Legends – Teaser Gameplay Footage

MotoGamesTV and FTRRacingTv have released the first teaser gameplay footages for Slightly Mad Studios’ upcoming Test Drive game. Test Drive: Ferrari Racing Legends (previously known as Test Drive: Ferrari) won’t be similar to the Test Drive games that were developed by Eden Games. This new Test Drive game is similar to Need For Speed: Porsche Unleashed, which is good, right? Test Drive: Ferrari Racing Legends will be released this year on current generation consoles and PC. CryENGINE 3 GDC 2012 – Proper Tech Trailer

Crytek has released a proper version of their tech trailer that was showcased in this year’s GDC. This trailer showcases the new features that the engine supports. Now I’ll have to be honest here. Although it does look good, it isn’t the Crytek trailers that have been pushing the graphical boundaries. In other words, we’ve seen better but then again, we’ve seen and worse too. Enjoy! The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim 1.5 Beta – Now available on Steam, comes with improved LOD transition

Bethesda has released a new beta patch for the PC version of Skyrim. This patch will update your game version to 1.5 and comes with some interesting new features. According to the changelog on Steam’s forum, this patch features cinematic kill cameras for projectile weapons and spells, new kill moves and animations for melee weapons, shadows on grass (at last) and an improved distance LOD transition for snowy landscapes. In order to get this patch, PC gamers will have to browse Steam’s settings and select Skyrim under the ‘Betas’ section.
