Coreplay and Croteam have released new updates for Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter and Jagged Alliance: Back in Action. In preparation of the upcoming DLC, Croteam had added a FOV slider to graphics options menu and made various improvements and corrections to Serious Sam HD: TSE. Coreplay on the other hand added DLC support (DLC can be accessed via main menu) and fixed various issues to Jagged Alliance: Back in Action. You can view the changelog for both of these updates below and as always, these patches will be auto-downloaded next time you start the Steam client. Ubisoft has released the 25-minutes live action short film that is inspired by and serves as a prequel to the upcoming Ghost Recon: Future Soldier game. Players should watch carefully, as – somewhere in the movie – there is a code that will unlock exclusive weapons for use in Future Soldier. Ghost Recon Alpha invites players into the future of war with the US Armed Forces’ point of spear. Eerie Canal Entertainment has announced a new action RPG/RTS hybrid that is being created by former System Shock 2, Bioshock, Titan Quest, Guitar Hero 2 and Freedom Force 2 developers. Dreadline will be a fast paced action RPG/RTS hybrid where you control a team of monsters, equipped with a time machine, who visit human calamities to kill those who are already doomed to die.(Think of a Diablo/Freedom Force mashup, but faster and with more blood). Square Enix revealed today its FY12 Financial Results and according to the report, Square Enix’s Digital Entertainment division was boosted by some incredible sales figures for both Deus Ex and Final Fantasy XIII-2. As of September last year, Deus Ex had sold more than 2.18 million copies across all territories after releasing in August. We are pretty sure though that the number is way higher, as the company has not updated the total figure since then. CCP Games have unveiled that the 17th free expansion for its award-winning game EVE Online, called Inferno, will be launched on May 22nd. More than any other expansion in EVE’s history, Inferno aims to shake up all levels of warfare in the over 7,500 solar systems in EVE’s massive universe. Overhauls of major war-related game systems will affect player-driven conflict and the first set of many new ship modules to come promise to alter tactics at the most visceral levels. The latest UK PC Retail and Steam Digital charts have been revealed and as we can see, Football Manager 2012 and Portal 2 are at the top places. The UK PC Retail chart is almost the same with the one of last week, so there isn’t really anything to say. TERA has lost one place, while The Sims 3 gained one and that’s it. According to Darrell Gallagher, Head of Studio at Crystal Dynamics, when Crystal Dynamics first set out to reboot the Tomb Raider franchise, there were two goals that they were extremely passionate about. The first was to create a modern Tomb Raider game that would surprise and excite gamers. We’ve heard a lot of you criticizing CryEngine 3 and believing that CryEngine 2 is better when it comes to its technical features and raw power. We’ve explained how CryEngine 3 is more advanced and that Crysis 2 did not showcase the full potential of Crytek’s next-generation engine. Naturally, some need proof instead of mere words. So look and behold some brand new screenshots from the upcoming CryEngine 3 project, Titanic: Lost in the Darkness. The following, impressive shots show off pure, in-game visuals. Apart from the plants (as we’ve seen better, damn you CryEngine 3 modding community), everything looks spectacular. Especially the lighting and shadows. They almost feel like real photos.
