Jane Jensen’s Pinkerton Road starts a new Kickstarter for a 3rd person adventure on PC and tablets

Jesus Christ, there is no stopping to the Kickstarter campaigns. This is good on one hand but on the other, it really feels a bit awkward seeing big ‘old names’ returning each and every day with a new Kickstarter campaign for their games. But whatever. Here is guys Pinkerton Road, the new game studio by Jane Jensen and Robert Holmes. What was that? Did you dare to ask who Jane Jensen is? Well, she was the writter behind Police Quest III: The Kindred and EcoQuest: The Search for Cetus, she co-designed King’s Quest VI: Heir Today and Gone Tomorrow with veteran game designer Roberta Williams, and her first solo game was Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers. Confrontation is now available on Steam, Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion is up for pre-order

Great news for strategy fans as one promising game has just been released on Steam while the next installment to another critically acclaimed game is now available for pre-order. That’s right generals. Confrontation – an RTS/RPG hybrid – has just been released and is priced at 39.99 euros. Interstellar Marines gets a new, drooling tech trailer for Deadlock 0.3.5

Man, it’s been a while since we last checked on Zero Point Software’s indie FPS title, Interstellar Marines. Zero Point Software is a small independent game developer based in Copenhagen, Denmark, and Interstellar Marines is their most ambitious project. The game is powered by the Unity Engine and as you can see in the following tech video, it does look gorgeous. Wasteland 2 – New designers to help at $2.5 million, mod tools at $3.0 million

inXile Entertainment has revealed some new details about their future plans for Wasteland 2. According to a recent update in their Kickstarter page, the developers will bring some new designer to help them if they hit the $2.5 million goal. Let us remind you that Obsidian’s Chief Creative Officer, Chris Avellone, will help in the development of the game if the Kickstarter campaign hits the $2.1 million mark. Minecraft version 1.2.5 Officially Released

Mojang have officially released today the 1.2.5 version of Minecraft. This new version comes with shift clicking support in furnaces, various fixes, the Direct Connect dialog remembering the last IP for the current session and the addition of a method to easily acquire blocks you have selected in the world in Creative mode using the ‘pick block’ key. PlanetSide 2 gets a new time-lapse video for its NC Scope 4X weapon attachment

Sony Online Entertainment released a new video for the deadly NC Scope 4X, an all-new precision weapon attachment for PlanetSide 2, courtesy of the rebellious New Conglomerate (NC). Through a new video time-lapse, Senior Artist Patrick Ho walks viewers through his entire creative process for the weapon attachment, from a few simple thumbnail sketches to the fully rendered finish. ‘Project RPG’ announced; new RPG from ex-Witcher producer

City Interactive and Deck13 have unveiled their latest RPG game that is – currently – called Project RPG. This RPG will be supervised by Tomasz Gop, a former senior producer at The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings studio CD Projekt RED and the game’s combat mechanics are inspired by Dark Souls, Kingdoms of Amalur and Batman: Arkham City. Ridge Racer: Unbounded – PC Update Released; improvements & fixes to startup CTDs, bloom, invites

Bugbear and Namco have released a new PC update for their arcade racing game, Ridge Racer: Unbounded. This new update fixes the MP invitations that were reported a few days ago and improve the bloom effects in some stages. Unfortunately, there were not made major fixes or improvements to the controllers as – according to Bugbear’s Fred – most of the company’s developers are taking a few days off. Binary Domain PC System Requirements Revealed

Last month, we informed you about a possible release date for the PC version of Binary Domain. Well, we’ve got some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that the game’s Steam page has been updated with a ‘generic’ April 2012 release date (instead of April 6th), which means that Binary Domain PC might get slightly delayed. Gothic 3 Community Patch 1.75 Changelog Revealed; FXAA support, less stuttering, improved animations

Mad Vulture Games, descendants of the Community Patch Team for Gothic 3, have released the changelog of their upcoming 1.75 Unofficial Community Patch v1.75 for the third part of the Gothic series. This new update comes with dynamic shader caching to reduce stuttering, improved shadows quality, improved animations and Bloom / HDR effects, native support for FXAA, and texture adjustments.
