Someone has created a Tekken 8 bot that spams ONLY ONE BUTTON, and it’s already destroying some players

Okay everyone, this is perhaps the best thing you’ll see today. Earlier this month, Bandai Namco released the first DLC character for Tekken 8, Eddy Gordo. By default, Eddy has some crazy combos and in order to showcase how ridiculous he can be, someone has created a bot that spams only one button.

What’s crazy here is that the bot is already a “Destroyer”. Not only that but by simply smashing the “3” button, Eddy can do a combo with Mid, High AND Low hits. And the best part? This “simple” combo appears to cause over 40% damage to the opponent.

I’ve played Tekken 8 and my main is Hwoarang. And I can tell you that Hwoarang does not have anything close to that. You can’t simply smash a button and execute a 40% damage combo. You can’t also smash a button and have a combo with High, Mid and Lows. To do a Low hit, you have to press the Down key. This is another reason why a lot of players call Eddy a really broken character in T8. Instead of learning to do combos, Eddy players can simply smash buttons. It’s really hilarious.

The best part of all of this is that you can watch the bot in action. I’ve included the TwitchTV video below. And again, this is a bot that simply smashes ONE BUTTON. Imagine if it also used the Rage Arts or if it was defending itself. Because… right now… the bot is not defending itself AT ALL.

Now I don’t expect the bot to hit high ranks like Flame Ruler or Kishin. Still, it’s hilarious that it even made it to Destroyer.

Tekken 8 is right now in a weird place. The game has major balance issues right now, and Bandai Namco has done nothing to ban or punish its cheaters. Not only that but the game CAN AND WILL OVERRIDE YOUR COMMANDS. I was playing against Nina and after a hit, I pressed my Rage Art (which is +5 frames). After one frame, Nina tried to grab me (which is +8 frames). Hilariously, the game skipped my command and let Nina grab me. I have a replay of this (but I won’t be bothered downloading 80GB just to take a screenshot of it). Seriously, this feels like a FIFA game. It can sometimes be THAT scripted. Oh, and Bandai Namco has not fixed any of the issues I’ve raised. The game is still inconsistent with some characters. And yes, the game still feels like a casino 50/50 game.
