Ubisoft announced today that Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD will arrive for the first time as a digital title on PC on January 15th, 2014. As the press release reads, players will be able to take the role of Aveline, the first playable female Assassin in the Assassin’s Creed saga, with whom players must use their skill, instinct and weaponry to hunt down and eliminate enemies as they embark on an unforgettable journey that will take them from the crowded streets of New Orleans to voodoo-haunted swamps and ancient Mayan ruins. Batman: Arkham Origins Now Available, Nvidia Releases Graphics & Performance Guide
Batman: Arkham Origins has just been released, and Nvidia’s Andrew Iain Burnes has informed us about an interesting article that covers the graphical settings of it. Batman: Arkham Origins supports tessellation (for Batman’s cape and snow), a new DOF technique, TXAA, PhysX effects, HBAO+ and Percentage Closer Soft Shadows. According to Andrew, only PhysX and TXAA are exclusive to Nvidia cards (and HBAO+ as its an Nvidia technique), meaning that all other techniques should work with other GPUs. And suddenly Need For Speed: Rivals is back on our radar. A couple of months ago, Ghost Games claimed that all versions of NFS: Rivals would be locked at 30fps. Well, it seems that’s not the case anymore. TeamVVV had the chance to test the PC build of NFS: Rivals and claimed that the framerate on PC version is unrestricted, and that those with powerful machines will be able to push 60fps. Holy bloody hell. Activision has just revealed the official minimum requirements for Call of Duty: Ghosts, and even though the game supports dual-cores… PC gamers will need at least 6GB of RAM, 40GB of free HDD and a 64bit OS to run it. The PC version of Call of Duty: Ghosts is rumored to feature higher resolution textures than its next-gen version, however it’s pretty funny that the game demands 6GB of RAM as a minimum requirement.
