A couple of days ago, we informed you about Namco Bandai distributing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in Europe. Naturally, a lot of fans wondered whether CDPR would get – yet again – into trouble for offering a DRM-free version of The Witcher 3. Thankfully, Namco Bandai gave the green light to our beloved Polish guys, meaning that all PC version of The Witcher 3 will be DRM-free from the get-go. Xaviant: “Going beyond four cores gives diminishing returns”, hints at Lichdom on next-gen consoles

Lichdom impressed a lot of people when it was showcased at AMD’s latest press event, and since this is a new game powered by CRYENGINE, we felt the need to ask the studio about some interesting things. One of them was the game’s multicore CPU support to which Charles Hollingsworth, Engineering Director at Xaviant, revealed that there were no significant performance gains while using more than four CPU cores. Battlefield 4 Gets A Day-One Update On The PC

DICE has released a day-one update for the PC version of Battlefield 4/Battlelog. According to its changelog, this update features various improvements for the PC in-game Battlelog, fixes an issue that caused a memory leak, removes the Cancel button for finished Missions, and makes “Play Now” for Squad Deathmatch and Domination to work as intended. Techland’s Hellraid Gets Delayed To 2014

Techland announced today that its upcoming game, Hellraid, will be released digitally in 2014. The game was originally slated for a 2013 release, however the team is currently hard at work adding new features and game modes for both single-player and co-op. Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Exceeds 1.5 Million Registered Users

Square Enix announced today that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn has exceeded 1.5 million registered players within two months since its launch. As the press release reads, the combined total is across North America, Europe, Japan and PAL territories on both PC and PS3. During its Q2 2014 financial call last night, the big publisher revealed that Dragon Age: Inquisition may slip to 2015. Now this isn’t surprising at all as we haven’t get any footage of this upcoming RPG for quite sometime. Not only that, but a gameplay footage is nowhere to be found, suggesting that this RPG is still far from being complete. Batman: Arkham Origins – First PC Update Releases, Console Update To Follow

Splash Damage and Warner Montreal have released the first update for the PC version of Batman: Arkham Origins. According to Splash Damage, this update addresses several issues, including leveling progression not being saved correctly in some cases and Arkham credits not being awarded correctly. As always, this update will be auto-downloaded next time you start the Steam client. Splash Damage also promised to release a new update for the console versions of the game at a later date, though there is no ETA. Enjoy! Durante To The Rescue – Deadly Premonition PC Gets Alpha Mod That Unlocks Resolution

And it took him less than a day. Durante – best known for his truly amazing DSFix mod for Dark Souls PC – has released a mod for Deadly Premonition that unlocks its internal resolution. As the modder suggested, this is an alpha version of his mod and only allows – at this state – to set the rendering and display resolutions of the game.
