NIXXES on DirectX 12: “DX12 is hard, can be worth the extra effort, but it may not be either”

At this year’s GDC, Jurjen Katsman, CEO of NIXXES Software, talked about DirectX 12 and expressed his opinions about it. As we’ve already said, DX12 is not exactly what it was promised and it appears that Katsman agrees to this. And while he admitted that DX12 can be worth the extra effort, he also claimed that it may not be (at least for some developers). Middle Earth: Shadow of War – Official PC Requirements

Now here is a nice surprise. Warner Bros and Monolith have revealed the official PC requirements for Middle Earth: Shadow of War. According to the PC specs, PC gamers will at least need a modern-day quad-core with 8GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX670 or an AMD Radeon HD 7950. Minecraft has sold more than 120 million copies worldwide, has 55 million monthly players

Microsoft has announced that Minecraft has sold more than 120 million copies worldwide across all platforms. In addition, the publisher revealed that there are 55 monthly players, which is more than 15 million monthly players since last June. Middle Earth: Shadow of War, sequel to Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor, has been officially announced

Warner Bros today announced Middle-earth: Shadow of War, the sequel to the critically-acclaimed Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. Developed by Monolith Productions, Middle-earth: Shadow of War features an original story with the return of Talion and Celebrimbor, who must go behind enemy lines to forge an army and turn all of Mordor against the Dark Lord, Sauron. New demo released for first-person open-world parkour adventure title, Downward

Caracal Games has released a new demo for Downward. According to the press release, Downward is a first-person open-world parkour adventure set in the medieval ruins of a post-apocalyptic world, in which the player must use parkour to traverse the ruins of the game’s world and find answers to this apocalypse. Hollow Knight is now available on Steam

Team Cherry’s side-scrolling action platformer, Hollow Knight, is now available on Steam. Hollow Knight is described as a classically styled 2D action adventure across a vast interconnected world, in which players will explore twisting caverns, ancient cities and deadly wastes; battle tainted creatures and befriend bizarre bugs; and solve ancient mysteries at the kingdom’s heart.
