Posted on: 12 Feb 2013

Each and every time I watch these retro isometric games, I keep asking myself why indie devs have not embraced and exploited this visual style. Am I the only one that finds this cute, cool and sexy? Nyah, can’t be. But anyway, Stardew Valley is an open-ended country-life RPG with support for up to 4-player … Continue reading PC gamers, meet Stardew Valley; RPG that mixes Minecraft and Harvest Moon with 16bit visuals

Posted on: 12 Feb 2013

Back when Gearbox revealed the first gameplay footage of Aliens: Colonial Marines, I was a bit sceptic about it. The AI of Aliens looked horrible, there were lots of uninspired scripted events (and not in the same level with – let’s say – those of AVP2) and the graphics were average at best. Of course … Continue reading Aliens: Colonial Marines Is Going Down, Primary Development Handled By TimeGate Studios

And it’s gameover everyone. Chris Taylor has canceled the Kickstarter campaign of Wildman, only four days before its end. To be honest, this Kickstarter would not hit its $1.1 million goal as it has only raised $504K so far. This is what a remastered HD version of Doom could look like

Posted on: 11 Feb 2013

One of the reasons I love Doom 64 is because id Software decided to create new sprites for every monster and new textures for its environments. The end result was gorgeous back then and – to be honest – I’d love to see a remastered HD version of Doom. You know, 2D sprites that are … Continue reading This is what a remastered HD version of Doom could look like
