Just Cause 4 is the latest game using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech and it appears that this tech is no longer doing its job. We don’t know whether Denuvo plans to release a new version that will be harder to crack, however Just Cause 4 has been cracked in just one day.
At this point, Square Enix is simply hurting itself by keeping the Denuvo anti-tamper tech in Just Cause 4 as it can no longer protect it. Not only that, but the publisher is also losing sales from those that are boycotting games that have Denuvo.
Just Cause 4 uses Denuvo 5.3 which was previously used in Hitman 2 and was cracked almost immediately. We don’t know whether Denuvo plans to remove a new version of its anti-tamper tech that will be harder to crack, however things are not looking good for all the publishers that have invested on it.
As we’ve already stated, Just Cause 4 suffers from major issues. However, and in case you are wondering, these problems are not caused by its anti-tamper tech.

Gotta say thanks to the greedy publishers who let you play games up to a week earlier by paying extra*, so the gods in the Scene get to do their thing even earlier.
(*I don’t think that 4-8 hours of cut-out content is worth the full season pass value + Square Enxi decided to release Day 1 DLC which wasn’t included with the Gold edition of the game)
iirc this one had only day earlier for season pass owners on PC …
As i understand it the pre order version features the jetpack from jc3 dlc To me that makes it the superior version…which makes the cpy version the most superior if its included…..and the best version is the one that will come out next year with all the patches because right now the game is unplayable.
One day these numbskulls might finally realize that it’s actually DRM losing them money, not piracy.

The only argument for DRM is that the company will have a scapegoat when their crappy, broken mess of a game doesn’t sell well.

I pre-ordered Just Cause 4 and refunded without playing it not because it got cracked but because the game is apparently of poor quality. Will buy it now when its greatly improved. I only pirate games I cannot buy Digitally.

we wouldn’t buy it legitimately anyways. i do have jc3,2 and 1 on my steam library but considering i haven’t played any of them more than 10 hours with jc2 and 1 never being installed then i’d say it’s safe i’d rather pirate jc4 and than pay for it.
