GTA 4 Remaster/Remake in Unreal Engine 5

This Grand Theft Auto 4 Remake in Unreal Engine 5 looks insane

’12th Hour’ has shared a new video on YouTube, showcasing what a modern-day remake of GTA 4 could have looked like in Unreal Engine 5. This fan remake looks absolutely insane, so be sure to watch it.

12th Hour is the man behind two other very cool fan recreations of Grand Theft Auto. In June 2023, the artist shared a video, showing what Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition should have looked like. Then, in the same month, the artist shared a fan recreation of Grand Theft Auto 6 in UE5.

For this project, 12th Hour created a new highly detailed 3D model for Niko Bellic. Then, the artist recreated the Times Square and Statue of Liberty environments. And, as you will see, the end result is incredible. This is exactly what a modern-day remake of Grand Theft Auto 4 should look like. Hell, I don’t even know whether GTA 6 will be able to match these graphics.

Just like many portfolio projects, you can’t download this map. That means you can’t experience it on your PC. Plus, 12th Hour hasn’t shared the resolution, framerate or the PC configuration he has used.

Talking about Unreal Engine 5, we recommend trying out these other fan-made demos. After all, we here at DSOGaming have shared numerous of them. You can grab a Superman UE5 Demo, a Halo 3: ODST Remake, and a Spider-Man UE5 Demo. There’s also a fan-made version of STALKER in Unreal Engine 5. If you love old-school FPS games, you should check out this remake of the classic FPS Blood in Epic’s engine. Don’t also forget the remake of Halo: Combat Evolved’s Halo level in UE5. Lastly, we have The Lord of the Rings: Conquest Reimagined in Unreal Engine 5 and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time in UE 5.3.1. They all look awesome, so be sure to give them a try.

Enjoy!
