Cliff Bleszinski’s New Game Will Be Powered by Unreal Engine 4, In-Engine Video Coming Next Week

During its PAX East event, Boss Key Productions announced that its upcoming PC arena title, Blue Streak, will be powered by Epic’s Unreal Engine 4. While the team did not reveal any more details about its project, it did show the first in-engine trailer.

GDC 2015 – Epic Games Shows off Mind-Blowing Open World Environment in Real-Time

During this year’s GDC, Epic Games demonstrated an amazing open world environment that can be created in Unreal Engine 4. This open world environment – which is 100 square miles – was used in its latest Kite Tech Demo, therefore you’ve already got a glimpse of it. However in Epic’s “The State of Unreal” talk, Epic’s Francois Antoine showcased various weather types in that map, as well as day/night cycle and how that affects lighting and shadows, AI animals that react to the players, and more. NVIDIA PhysX 3.3.3 Available for Free to All Unreal Engine 4 Developers

Epic Games and NVIDIA have announced that all Unreal Engine 4 developers will gain access to NVIDIA’s PhysX. Not only that, but developers will have access to PhysX’s source code. And in our opinion, this is another clever move from Epic Games; a move that will certainly make a lot of developers start experimenting with its engine. NVIDIA Titan X Revealed – Packs 12GB of VRAM, Runs Latest Unreal Engine 4 Tech Demo

Nurulize has released a 4K GDC 2015 trailer for RISE Oculus DK2 tech demo, powered by Unreal Engine 4. RISE is a fully immersive virtual reality experience that tells the story of a robot uprising from the perspective of a sentient robot agitator who’s been captured. This tech demo features real-time display of VFX assets, dynamic physical camera simulation for accurate depth of field, as well as a full 16-bit float scene for dynamic, accurate exposure adjustment. Quixel’s Jungle Environment – Direct-Feed Screenshots in Glorious 4K Resolution

Yesterday we shared a video showing off Quixel’s latest environment created with Megascans in Unreal Engine 4. As we all know, YouTube greatly degrades visuals, therefore today we are sharing the first direct feed images from that map. While Quixel’s environment is not as realistic – in terms of colours – as Crysis, it can be easily described as a true next-gen version of the first Far Cry game.
