Ubisoft has released a new trailer for Splinter Cell: Blacklist in which the French company explains the basic features of the game’s MP mode, Spies vs. Mercs. Spies play in third person perspective, they are fast and agile, use the environment as their weapon and hide in the shadows to surprise their enemies. Mercs, on the other hand, play in first person, can use a flashlight to detect spies, and can rely on their firepower to overcome various circumstances. A new video for Watch Dogs has been leaked today, showcasing parts from the multiplayer mode of this highly anticipated title. Splinter Cell: Blacklist’ producer Andy Wilson has revealed some new tech details about the PC version of Ubisoft’s upcoming action/stealth third person title. According to Wilson, the PC version of Splinter Cell: Blacklist will support both DX9 and DX11. PC gamers can expect horizon based ambient occlusion, TXAA, high resolution shadows, and parallax mapping. In addition, Blacklist will support specific DX11 features, such as tessellation. Well, Ubisoft is at it again. BehindGames has just reported that the PC version of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will be released a few weeks after the release of the one for current-gen consoles. The game was initially planned for a simultaneously release on X360, PS3 and PC, however during this year’s E3, Ashraf Ismail (creative director of the game) confirmed that the PC version won’t be released on November 1st. MaximumPC has also captured the gameplay walkthrough demo of Splinter Cell: Blacklist PC that was showcased during Nvidia’s E3 press event, and the first thing you will immediately notice is its smoothness. We don’t know the specs of the PC that was used to demo Splinter Cell: Blacklist, however we do know that the game will take advantage of the DX11 API.
