Skybound terminates its contract with Starbreeze, will discontinue all efforts on Overkill’s The Walking Dead

Skybound has issued a statement, claiming that it has terminated its contract with Starbreeze Studios and that it will discontinue all efforts on Overkill’s The Walking Dead. This most likely means that there won’t be any additional patches for Overkill’s The Walking Dead (unless the developers decided for themselves to support/fix/tweak/improve the game). OtherSide Entertainment has acquired the rights for System Shock 3 from Starbreeze

Starbreeze and OtherSide Entertainment have mutually agreed to sell back the publishing rights to OtherSide Entertainment for System Shock 3. According to the press release, Starbreeze expects to be fully reimbursed for costs the company has had in connection with development of the game. Overkill’s The Walking Dead was mostly developed with Unreal Engine 4 tutorials

There is no doubt that Overkill’s The Walkind Dead flopped last year. Powered by Unreal Engine 4, this team-based multiplayer game aimed to blend together Left 4 Dead and The Walking Dead. As we wrote in our PC Performance Analysis article, the game performed similarly to all current Unreal Engine 4 games and as it was revealed, the game was mostly developed with the Unreal Engine 4 tutorials that are available online. Double Fine has released the first proper trailer for Psychonauts 2. Psychonauts 2 will feature a new hub world inside Psychonauts HQ. Players will access new mental worlds as Raz peeks inside the minds of a host of new characters who need his help to combat their inner demons and unravel their deep-seated emotional issues. Overkill’s The Walking Dead Review

I love zombies; Dawn of the Dead is one of my favourite films and the first Resident Evil is one of my favourite games. I have played too many zombie games and even if the whole zombie genre is becoming a bit tiresome, in general, I still enjoy playing them… well most of them. I am also a huge fan of the TV show, even if the latest seasons dropped in quality. I have played all of Telltale’s (RIP) games except the final season and I even played “Survival Instinct” – oh yes I did.

Dead by Daylight has sold more than 3 million copies worldwide

Starbreeze has announced today that Dead by Daylight has sold more than 3 million copies across all platforms and formats. While Starbreeze did not reveal any specific platform data, it’s pretty obvious from Steamspy’s data that most of its sales are coming from the PC.
