Square Enix has announced that it is selling the studio behind the HITMAN games, IO Interactive. As the press release reads, in order maximize player satisfaction as well as market potential going forward, Square Enix will be focusing its resources and energies on key franchises and studios. NieR: Automata has physically shipped & digitally sold one million units
Square Enix has announced that the worldwide shipment and digital sales of its action-RPG, NieR: Automata have exceeded one million. While the company did not reveal specific percentages for “shipped” and “sold” units, we do know that almost 1/4 of digital sales is coming from the PC platform. Well, you gotta love modders. As we’ve already said, NieR: Automata is locked at 60fps. Now while this is perfectly fine by us (after all, it’s not locked at 30fps), we know that some PC gamers were a bit disappointed by such a thing.
