Remember that E3 trailer of the first Halo? Man, was that something or what? Halo was the first game that made 3DFX realize that 32bit coloring would be essential for newer titles, and it was the game that most PC gamers were looking forward to. To put it simple; we love the first Halo game, as well as its OST. And it seems we are not the only ones, as this relatively old title keeps getting mods that attempt to overhaul its visuals. Well, we all saw that coming, didn’t we? In order to promote Windows 8, Microsoft announced Halo: Spartan Assault. Developed by Vanguard Games in conjunction with 343 Industries, this isn’t the Halo game you’ve been waiting for. No, this isn’t a first person shooter with next-gen visuals. Instead, 343 and Microsoft decided to offer us a top-down shooter. This game is said to be a Windows 8 title, and will be released on both PC and Windows Phone. Halo: Spartan Assault is planned for a July release, and you can view its first screenshots – as well as its debut trailer – below! It’s really fascinating watching Halo 3 PC going back and forth. Will it hit the PC or not? Bungie’s game appeared in Steam’s registry a while back, and a lot of PC gamers got excited. Microsoft was quick to react and stated that they had no plans for a PC port of Halo 3. PC gamers got disappointed. Then, Halo 3 was spotted in AMD’s GPU drivers. PC gamers were – once again – excited for a possible announcement. Microsoft remained silent. PC gamers got disappointed once again. Continue reading Halo Fans Launch A Petition For Halo 3 PC→

It’s been a while since our last look on State of Decay, an upcoming sandbox zombie game that is being developed by Undead Labs. The game has been showcased at this year’s PAX East and RaidWarning has captured some new footage. In State of Decay, players will be able to decide where they’d like to set up a fortified safe heaven for them and other survivors they have rescued, form raiding parties to gather resources and create supply chains. Players can also use the materials they have gathered to develop their community as they see fit, however resources will deplete as they pillage areas, and zombies are attracted to noise and activity. Enjoy! Continue reading State of Decay – Off-Screen Gameplay PAX East 2013→
Now that’s a big surprise. We all thought that Halo 3’s appearance in Steam’ registry was a big mistake, however there might be something going on in the background. After all, Microsoft’s title has just appeared in the latest profiles of AMD’s Catalyst drivers, suggesting that a release might be closer than we think. Spotted by our reader Sid Spyker Sabin Figaro (and thanks to Guru3D’s user kn00tcn), this profile was added to AMD’s Catalyst 13.3 Beta drivers. YouTube’s member ‘devinsupertramp’ and his friends made an amazing live-action video that supposedly showcases an early verion of Halo 5 for X720. The costumes are a beauty to behold and we seriously think that these guys should use them to make a proper Halo movie. On the other hand, the commentary in this video sucks. It really, really, REALLY does. In fact, we’d advise you to watch the video in mute mode due to the awful commentator. Enjoy! Continue reading Halo 5 In Real Life – Fan-Made Live-Action Video→
