Gears of War 4 – E3 2015 Demo versus Final Game

Digital Foundry has shared an interesting video, in which it compares the E3 2015 demo of Gears of War 4 with its final version. As we can see, and even though there are some level design and artistic differences between these two versions, The Coalition did not downgrade the game’s visuals. Okay okay, the wind effects are not that strong as they were in the E3 2015 demo. Overall, though, the final version looks as good as that initial demo. Gears of War 4 releases on October 11th. Forza Horizon 3 – First patch detailed, promises to fix stuttering, releases later today [UPDATE: available now]

Playground Games has revealed the changelog for the first patch for Forza Horizon 3. This patch will be made available later today, and according to its changelog, it fixes the stuttering issue that PC gamers have reported when the framerate was unlocked. Here is Gears of War 4’s re-imagined Gridlock map from the PC version

NVIDIA has released a new video, showcasing the re-imagined Gridlock MP map from the PC version of Gears of War 4. This  iconic Gears of War map has been revamped and updated, brought to life with beautiful new visuals. Quantum Break runs significantly faster on NVIDIA’s hardware in DX11

Quantum Break has just been released on Steam and it appears that this particular version runs way better on NVIDIA’s hardware than its DX12 brother. According to various reports, the Steam version can be up to 30% faster than the W10 version on NVIDIA’s GPUs, something that does not really surprise us. Quantum Break – Official Steam requirements revealed, will be DX11-only, will not support mGPU systems

Remedy has revealed the official PC requirements for the Steam version of Quantum Break. According to them, the Steam version of Quantum Break will only support DX11. Yeap, instead of supporting both APIs, Remedy decided to completely abandon the DX12 API in favour of the DX11 one (at least for the Steam version of Quantum Break). This basically means that the Win10 version of Quantum Break will NOT receive a patch to support DX11. Forza Horizon 3 – PC Performance Analysis

Forza Motorsport 6: APEX really amazed us on the PC. While there were some minor stutters (we didn’t experience much to  be honest in that particular title), it ran amazingly well on the PC platform. Naturally, we were wondering whether the next, full Forza title would be as well optimized as APEX was. And it appears that things are not looking particularly good for Forza Horizon 3.
