343 Industries has issued an official statement about the release of Halo Online ElDewrito 0.6, stating that Microsoft has initiated actions to protect its Halo intellectual property. 343 Industries and Microsoft have clarified that while they do support mods and fan remakes, they will not allow copyrighted material to be distributed for free (as is the case with Halo Online ElDewrito). Back in March 2015, we informed you about an official free-to-play online version of Halo 3. This project, called Halo Online, targeted Russian gamers and was officially coming from Microsoft. Halo Online – Unofficial Version 0.5.0 Released, Adds 6 New Halo 3 Maps

The team behind ElDewrito has released a new version for it that includes 6 additional maps from Halo 3. As the team noted, this update will allow players to play on all of the new maps present in the latest official release of Halo Online: High Ground, Last Resort, Narrows, Standoff, The Pit and Sandtra. Halo: Online – New Screenshots From The Latest ElDewrito Build Released

A couple of days ago, a new version of ElDewrito was released to the public. Thanks to ElDewrito, players from all regions can basically enjoy Halo: Online. Halo: Online was originally announced for Russia only, and even though it has not been released yet, fans got their hands on a leaked version and have been working on improving it. Halo: Online Modded Is in Playable State, New Video Shows Proper Multiplayer Action

I seriously don’t know whether we should congratulate modders for what they have accomplished or not. Because this hacking attempt may doom all other possible attempts at bringing the Halo franchise to the PC. Hackers/Modders Continue Work on Halo: Online, First Multiplayer Match Showcased

Despite Microsoft’s attempts to take down the modded alpha version of Halo Online, the modding/hacking team Eldorito has been constantly working on it. YouTube’s member ‘Freelancer852’ has shared a video, showcasing a Multiplayer match from the latest build of this modded version. Recently Microsoft announced Halo Online, an online multiplayer only F2P FPS. The closed beta was announced exclusively for the Russian marketplace however, so given we game on PC, one of the things that happens on PC, happened; mods.
