PC gamers can already play Halo 3’s single-player campaign on the PC with native mouse & keyboard

Microsoft and 343 Industries have already announced the Halo: The Master Chief collection for the PC. However, PC gamers can already experience the single-player campaign of Halo 3. A team of dedicated fans has recreated the entire single-player mode of Halo 3 in the Halo Online Engine, and is fully playable from start to finish via Eldewrito. Halo 3 is close to being fully emulated, video comparison between PC DX12 and original X360 versions

Halo 3 is a game that a lot of PC gamers wanted to play (especially since Halo 1 and 2 came out on our platform) and it appears that this will be possible in 2019 via the Xenia Xbox 360 emulator. YouTube’s ‘Emulators for PC’ has shared a video comparing the original X360 version with the emulated Xenia version using the DX12 API. Xbox 360 emulator Xenia now supports DirectX 12, first Halo 3 DX12 screenshots revealed

The development team behind Xenia, the best Xbox 360 emulator, has been making some progress and decided to completely ditch the Vulkan API in favour of DirectX 12. As such, and for the time being, Xenia is now exclusive to Windows 10 and the team has shared the first screenshots from Halo 3 being emulated in this latest DX12 version of Xenia. We all know by now that Microsoft does not plan to release Halo 3 on the PC (unless of course the Master Chief Collection comes to our platform). AMD may have leaked Halo 3 for the PC, artwork showcased during its Korean R5 launch event

AMD held a launch event in Korea for its new R5 CPUs. So, during that event, AMD showcased a video with some upcoming games for the PC platform. What’s really interesting here is that AMD included an artwork from Halo 3, suggesting that this classic Halo game will finally come to the PC. Halo Fans Launch A Petition For Halo 3 PC

It’s really fascinating watching Halo 3 PC going back and forth. Will it hit the PC or not? Bungie’s game appeared in Steam’s registry a while back, and a lot of PC gamers got excited. Microsoft was quick to react and stated that they had no plans for a PC port of Halo 3. PC gamers got disappointed. Then, Halo 3 was spotted in AMD’s GPU drivers.
