Fortnite – New Screenshots & Gameplay Trailer Released

Epic Games released today three new beautiful screenshots – as well as a gameplay trailer – for its Unreal Engine 4-powered title, Fortnite. Fortnite is a game inspired by Minecraft in which players will lead a group of Heroes to reclaim and rebuild a homeland that has been left empty by mysterious darkness only known as “the Storm”. Players can band together online to build extravagant forts, find or build insane weapons and traps and protect your towns from the strange monsters that emerge during the Storm. Enjoy! Epic Games’ Fortnite Gets New Trailer Focusing On The Husk

Fortnite Alpha Testing Begins Tomorrow, Will Run From December 2nd To December 19th

Epic Games has announced that the alpha testing phase for its Minecraft-like Unreal Engine 4 powered project, Frostbite, will begin tomorrow. Epic’s Fortnite Gets New Screenshots & Gameplay Trailer

Epic Games has released a new set of screenshots and a new gameplay trailer for its upcoming Unreal Engine 4-powered Minecraft-like PC title, Fortnite. In Fortnite, players can build and edit each wall of house with a 3×3 grid, lay down stairs, roofs, and windows, sculpting them to suit a particular need. Enjoy! Fortnite – New Footage & GDC 2013 Presentation

Following the recent release of Activision’s GDC 2013 presentation, our friends over at PCGamesHardware have posted the GDC 2013 presentation of Fortnite, Epic’s upcoming Unreal Engine 4-powered title. This footage contains some never before scenes, so make sure to watch it if you are interested in that particular game. Fortnite will most probably come to other platforms at a later date, hints at next-generation consoles

Call us unimpressed but Cliff Bleszinski has stated that Fortnite might be coming to other platforms at a later date. Fact is that Fortnite was originally a multi-platform title that was developed on Unreal Engine 3. We thought there was something fishy with this PC exclusive thing and it seems we were correct, as Fortnite is not developed to take advantage of PC gaming. It’s ironic, but in our Editorial – three posts below – we said that Minecraft was great on consoles and Fortnite could work as good as Notch’s title. We were right, there is no doubt about that. Epic’s Mark Rein: “Fortnite trailer was on UE3, switched to UE4 this year, PC gamers will love it”

Epic Games’ Mark Rein has revealed that last year’s trailer of Fortnite was running on Unreal Engine 3. According to Rein, the switch to Unreal Engine 4 happened this year and in order to showcase their improvements over the older version, Epic released the first set of screenshots from the latest version of Fortnite. The game has a cartoon-ish style and some sweet lighting/shadowing effects, but then again, the same graphical elements where the ones that stood out in the game’s debut trailer. Why Epic’s new IP, Fortnite, should NOT come to the PC

Cliff Bleszinski and PC gamers are in open war for a couple of years. So imagine our surprise when Cliffy B stepped on VGA’s yesterday and announced Fortnite, Epic’s new IP that is clearly inspired by our beloved Minecraft.
