Need For Speed: The Run; Black Box might remove the FPS cap via a future patch

One of the most annoying things in NFS: The Run – and one of the reasons we haven’t bothered with it for a Performance Analysis – is the fact that the game is capped at 30fps. Some users tried to unlock it but thus far, there hasn’t been any proper/working mod or workaround for it. All hope is not lost though as Executive Producer, Jason DeLong, and Producer, Brian Lindley, of NFS: The Run stated that they might remove this cap in a future patch. Enjoy Battlefield 3 without Origin or Battlelog using your browser

I’ve said it before and will say it again; it was a really bad move to force both Origin and Battlelog in order to enjoy Battlefield 3. And as you’d expect, the PC gaming community has come up with some ways to override these obstacles. Well… sort of as the way to override Origin is illegal. Still, PC gamers have that option and it’s quite disturbing that we have to rely on crackers – yeah that’s right. We are now relying on crackers to fix our games – to simply enjoy the games we bought. Oh, the horror. Continue reading Enjoy Battlefield 3 without Origin or Battlelog using your browser

And another one bites the dust: NFS: The Run is locked at 30fps

I seriously don’t understand developers these days. After Rockstar’s adventure game, here comes another one that is locked at 30fps. And get this right; this is a racing game. Yeap, Electronic Arts’ and Black Box’s highly anticipated Need For Speed: The Run is locked at 30fps. L.A. Noire can get away with this limit as it’s a slow paced adventure game but what were Black Box thinking? This is simply unacceptable.
