World Exclusive First Look At Battlefield 4 Running On Mantle API
As we’ve already said, AMD showcased Battlefield 4 running on its upcoming low-level API, Mantle. Below you can find the video from that short moment. Unfortunately AMD did not reveal any comparison slides between DirectX and Mantle, though it claimed that Battlefield 4 was running 45% faster on Mantle. TitanFall – No Mod Tools At Launch, May Come Afterwards
Respawn Entertainment has confirmed that the PC version of TitanFall will not come with mod tools at launch. This information comes straight from the horse’s mouth as Respawn’s co-founder Vince Zampella was the one who claimed that after the game’s launch, Respawn will have to evaluate whether it can offer mod tools or not. New Battlefield 4 Update Addresses SLI/CrossFire Flickering Issues
Well that was quick. DICE has launched a new update for Battlefield 4 that addresses those annoying flickering issues that occurred on multi-GPU systems. This new update is 170MB in size and comes with some additional fixes for ‘three of the top crash issues on the PC platform.’ So, does this mean that the game will actually be playable this time around? BioWare has revealed a new set of pre-alpha screenshots for Dragon Age: Inquisition. Contrary to its predecessor, it appears that Dragon Age: Inquisition will cover a large variety of locations. Battlefield 4 – New Update Released, Breaks SLI & Removes Grass Physics
Well, we gotta give DICE and Battlefield 4 the award of best clusterf*ck, ever. So when Battlefield 4 was released, there was major flickering when SLI was enabled. With its second (or third) update, the game was fixed and was working fine with SLI systems. And then came another update that had a HUGE impact on the game’s SLI performance. And now with this latest update that has just been launched, that awful flickering is back with a punch. Way to go DICE. Need For Speed: Rivals – New PC Update Released, 30FPS Cap Not Removed Yet
Electronic Arts and Ghost Games have released a new update for Need For Speed: Rivals that is supposedly addressing its performance and frame rate issues. However, a lot of players are still experiencing really low frame rates in specific areas. Oh, and as the title suggests, Ghost Games has not removed the idiotic 30fps cap from it. Disappointing Sales – Crysis 3 PC Has Just Passed 100.000 Sold Copies In Its Homeland
Well, most of us saw that coming. It seems that the PC version of Crysis 3 did not sell well, despite Crytek’s efforts to offer mind-blowing graphics and visuals. Yes, the PC version of Crysis 3 looks gorgeous but as a game itself… well… you know now… different Psycho… a f’ed up storyline… laughable attempts to connect Crysis 2 and 3 with Crysis 1. Let’s just say that we were disappointed with it, and it apparently we weren’t the only ones feeling that way. TitanFall Will Be Playable At 4K On A Single Nvidia GTX Titan
Nvidia has released a new video in which its engineers and military personnel traveled to Los Angeles to bring the Respawn Development team GeForce GTX TITANs and NVIDIA SHIELDs. It’s an interesting video but what’s buried in that video is more interesting than the fact that TitanFall will work great with Nvidia’s GPUs. DICE Rolls Out New Updates For Battlefield 4 & Battlelog, Changelogs Included
DICE has released a new update for Battlefield 4, as well as a new server update for Battlelog. According to the release notes, these new updates come with various fixes, miscellaneous stability fixes that further reduce the number of client crashes and server side crash fixes, including the top seen crashes on R14.
