Marvel’s Avengers Patch 2.2.1 released, full patch notes revealed

Crystal Dynamics has released Patch 2.2.1 for Marvel’s Avengers. According to the release notes, Update 2.2.1 brings some stability improvements and crash fixes for the Discordant Sound Raid. Moreover, it addresses an issue that could cause Iron Man to become invincible when failing to summon the Hulkbuster on uneven ground. Square Enix will now remove the controversial gameplay-related MTX from Marvel’s Avengers

Last month, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have added some gameplay-related microtransactions to Marvel’s Avengers. Needless to say that this frustrated a lot of fans. After all, Crystal Dynamics had previously promised that it would never do such a thing in this particular game. And today, almost a month after their inclusion, Square Enix revealed that it will be removing both Hero’s Catalysts and Fragment Extractors. Shadow of the Tomb Raider runs noticeably faster without Denuvo

A few days ago, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics removed the Denuvo anti-tamper tech from Shadow of the Tomb Raider. As such, and after some reports, we’ve decided to benchmark the game and see how it performs now that Denuvo is no longer available. And, surprisingly enough, the game now runs noticeably faster. Despite promises, Marvel’s Avengers now has gameplay-related microtransactions

Prior to the release of Marvel’s Avengers, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics were stating that the game would not feature lootboxes or pay-to-win mechanics. Marvel’s Avengers – Native 4K versus NVIDIA DLSS versus AMD FSR
