Star Citizen’s Dogfighting Module Delayed Yet Again

Chris Roberts announced today that the highly anticipated Dogfighting module for Star Citizen will be delayed again, as the team is not ready yet to release a stable version of it. According to Chris, there are two major issues in this current build of the Dogfighting module that will prevent – pretty much everyone – from actually playing the game. Star Citizen’s Dogfighting Module Releases On May 29th

Cloud Imperium announced today that the Dogfighting module – also known as Arena Commander – for Star Citizen will be released on May 29th. According to the development team, if everything goes as planned, the Arena Commander mode will be available by the end of that day (and hopefully servers will be able to sustain the high traffic during the release). Cloud Imperium Games Hires Blizzard’s Former Producer As Executive Producer For Star Citizen

Cloud Imperium Games announced today that game industry veteran, Alex Mayberry – who most recently was lead game producer at Blizzard Entertainment – was hired as an executive producer for Star Citizen. Mayberry will be overseeing all product development for Star Citizen and managing CIG’s distributed development process across all production studios (both owned and contracted) including Santa Monica, Austin, Manchester and Montreal. Cloud Imperium has released a new set of PAX East screenshots for its upcoming space title, Star Citizen. Star Citizen is powered by CRYENGINE and promises to be one of the best PCexclusive titles released. Lately we’ve been hearing a lot about resolutions and how console gamers are unable to distinguish the difference between 720p and 1080p. Thomas was a bit upset by the recent delay for Star Citizen’s dogfighting module. While Cloud Imperium has not given any ETA yet for this module, it has released a new video that gives us a taste of that pre-alpha version that will never see the light of day. Now I’ll agree with both Roberts and Thomas. Yes, the dogfighting module is certainly not polished (though the explosion effects look sweet), thus some may get disappointed with it.
