City Interactive has released a new update for Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 that features a host of improvements and the addition of Hardcore mode for multiplayer. In the new mode players will not be provided with any indication of who is shooting at them or from which direction the shot has been fired as the red dot indicator is eliminated. Hardcore mode provides and ultra difficult experience that will put even the most elite snipers to the test. As we’ve said in our Performance Analysis, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 is not a great looking game. Thankfully, though, PC gamers can improve the game’s visuals with the SweetFX mod. It’s a bit ironic, but Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 was originally meant to be out just a couple of months after the release of Sniper Elite V2. In order to further polish its title, though, City Interactive decided to delay it almost a year before unleashing it to the masses. The funny thing here is that Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 is average at best, is full of scripted events, and is packed with mediocre visuals. Yes, the game is powered by CryEngine 3 and even though the debut screenshots looked good enough – back in 2012 – the final build looks underwhelming. CI Games today announced a new DLC for its newly released sniper game, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2. Siberian Strike, will launch for Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 next week, available on Wednesday March 27th for Xbox LIVE Arcade for 800MP, PlayStation Network for £8,99 and Steam for £8,99. Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 has been released and YouTube’s member ‘xKyleNxCoD’ has posted a video from the PC version, running at 1080p with max settings. We’ll post our Performance Analysis in the coming days, so stay tuned everyone for more. Even though City Interactive has not revealed the latest sales numbers of Sniper: Ghost Warrior, GameStop revealed that City Interactive’s first sniper title has managed to sell over 3 million copies worldwide. Naturally, this cannot come close to the sales of other triple-A, however we have to keep in mind that City Interactive was never a company as ‘powerful’ as EA or Ubisoft. City Interactive has released the launch trailer of its CryEngine 3 powered sniper game, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2. The game is scheduled for a March 15th release but that didn’t stop City Interactive from releasing the trailer earlier than expected. Guess they knew that it would be leaked to torrents, therefore we have a launch trailer for the pirated versions of the game. Hooray. Jokes aside, we hope that Ghost Warrior 2 will be better than its predecessor. The game was delayed a couple of times in order to get further polished, so let’s see what City Interactive has in store for us!
