Sniper: Ghost Warrior Sales Are Over 3 Million

Even though City Interactive has not revealed the latest sales numbers of Sniper: Ghost Warrior, GameStop revealed that City Interactive’s first sniper title has managed to sell over 3 million copies worldwide. Naturally, this cannot come close to the sales of other triple-A, however we have to keep in mind that City Interactive was never a company as ‘powerful’ as EA or Ubisoft. Sniper: Ghost Warrior – Two Million Copies Sold

Let’s be honest here; Sniper: Ghost Warrior had its issues. However, the game’s mechanics were good and it was quite entertaining – well, excluding the levels where it tried to copy Call of Duty and its ‘Eagle-Eyed’ AI that could spot you from miles away. Some felt cheated, some were disappointed and some were happy with their purchase. Bottom line is that Sniper: Ghost Warrior has managed to sell two million copies and that’s a good thing for a small studio like City Interactive. Sniper: Ghost Warrior – Second Strike DLC is now available on Steam

City Interactive released today a new DLC for their acclaimed sniper FPS game, Sniper: Ghost Warrior. Sniper: Ghost Warrior – Second Strike includes an additional single player campaign called “Unfinished Business” with refined AI and new challenging levels. Sniper: Ghost Warrior coming to iOS devices in 2012

City Interactive revealed today that a new addition to the Sniper: Ghost Warrior franchise is in development for iOS devices. Due for release in Q1 2012, Sniper: Ghost Warrior for  iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch will translate all the intense long-range precision gameplay of its console counterpart to tablet and mobile.
