Bohemia Interactive has released a new beta patch for DayZ. According to the release notes, this patch will update your game’s version to 0.63.149525 and comes with reworked vehicle physics, improvements to vehicles simulation, minor improvement to IK poses, minor improvements to heavy hit animations and animations for drop item in different stances. Last week, Arma fans got excited as a Slovakian journalist tweeted that Arma 4 was in development. However, it appears that’s not the case as Bohemia Interactive put those rumours to rest, stating that it is not currently working on Arma 4. Bohemia’s Korneel van ‘t Land claimed that the team does not plan to announce a potential new Arma title in the next years as its Enfusion Engine is still in development. Bohemia keeps supporting Arma 3 five years after release with new free content
Bohemia Interactive has released the 81st platform update for its combined arms tactical military shooter, Arma 3. As the press release reads, the Encore Update (1.84) delivers a wide variety of free new bonus content to all 4+ million Arma 3 players, such as a NATO destroyer ship, surface-to-air missile systems, radar sites, missiles and bombs. Arma 3 has sold 4 million copies worldwide, gets a free to play Steam weekend
Bohemia Interactive has announced that Arma 3 has sold four million copies worldwide and in order to celebrate it, it will host a free weekend for it on Steam. The Free Weekend starts on April 26 at 19:00 CEST (all time zones) and ends on April 30 at 19:00 CEST, and it will provide all Steam users with the opportunity to try out the complete Arma 3 base game. DayZ will get a new engine upgrade in a couple of weeks on the PC
It appears that the standalone version of DayZ will receive a major engine upgrade really soon. As Eugen Harton, lead producer at developers Bohemia, told PCGamesN, the team is currently working on upgrading DayZ’s game engine and will release this new version in a couple of weeks.
