Activision has officially announced today the second DLC pack for Black Ops 2 that will be available first, exclusively on Xbox LIVE for X360 on April 16th, with other platforms to follow. Call of Duty: Black Ops II Uprising will include four new exotic multiplayer maps, plus an exciting new Zombies experience called “Mob of the Dead” that takes players to Alcatraz with four of the actors behind some of Hollywood’s most iconic mobsters, including Ray Liotta, Chazz Palminteri, Joe Pantoliano, and Michael Madsen. Following Nvidia’s steps, Activision has released a new tech demo that showcases a next-generation character. This animated character is being rendered in real-time on current video card hardware, using standard bone animation. According to its description, the original high resolution data was acquired from Light Stage Facial Scanning and Performance Capture by USC Institute for Creative Technologies, then converted to a 70 bones rig, while preserving the high frequency detail in diffuse, normal and displacement composite maps. A couple of minutes ago, Infinity Ward has revealed – via its official FB page – a new image of Captain Price. This new image is probably a teaser for the upcoming reveal of the next Call of Duty title, and we can safely assume that Captain Price will be featured in it. After all, there wouldn’t be any reason to share such a picture if that wasn’t a hint, right? A new video – that looks like a teaser trailer of Modern Warfare 4 – has appeared on the Net a couple of minutes ago. Since this isn’t anything official and as nothing has been confirmed right now, you should definitely take it with a grain of salt. Still, it looked interesting so we decided to share it with you. This teaser presents Captain Price who seems to be in Mexico. GDC 2013 is underway and everyone is currently awaiting for the upcoming reveal of Battlefield 4. Therefore, this is either an intentional leak or a fake video that was created in order to take attention away from BF4. Activision declined to comment on the trailer, so this could be the real deal. Blizzard Entertainment announced a trio of milestones achieved during the launch week of StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm. More than 1.1 million viewers tuned into the company’s 21-hour, global broadcast of launch events and community celebrations around the world, with peak concurrent viewership reaching over 125,000, as reported by Twitch. As of the end of its first two days of sales, Heart of the Swarm had sold through approximately 1.1 million copies worldwide, including both retail and digital sales. Remember the teaser website of Modern Warfare 4? Well, it appears that it was valid as a new poster has appeared (kudos to Insomnia’s Psycho_Warhead for spotting it) today, hinting at an incoming announcement/reveal on March 21st. Not only that, but it seems that four studios are working on it: Infinity Ward, Raven Software, Sledgehammer Games and Neversoft. Naturally, the game will be published by Activision. The poster also indicates that Activision will reveal more during PAX East (or GDC), otherwise there wouldn’t be a poster for just the fan-made movie reveal. You know what? It’s really ironic when publishers decide not to comment on a question, when distributors have shared false information, and when you get a proper answer from a pirated group with its latest actions. Despite the claims of Activision’s Greek distributor, IGE, of the PC version getting cancelled, Activision has released this title on the PC, and has already been leaked – though in some regions the game may be already available – by a specific pirated scene group.
